Climb off the trellis and grow wild!

What's an "Inner Flower Child" and how do I get one?

Picture
The term "Flower Child" was coined to describe the idealistic young people who advocated peace, love and sunshine in the 1960s - trying to transform the world through Flower Power!  In our eyes, all children are born as flower children....happily filled with light and potential and the desire to create beauty in the world (not to mention natural confidence in their own abilities!).   But somewhere along the way to being "grown-ups," many of us lose our way.  We get cultivated and trained to grow the "right" way, or categorized as weeds when really we are wildflowers.  Our spontaneous, artistic selves are buried or neglected or pruned until we can't remember how beautiful and creative we truly are.

But every adult still has that flower child inside them, waiting for an invitation to play. No matter how long yours has been languishing without water and sunshine, it's never too late to cultivate the relationship that matters most. Inner Flower Child is here to help you reclaim your natural self through articles, links, workshops and events that appeal to your inner child's desire to create+explore+dream+wonder+play!

And all that 'manure' that's been heaped on you along the way?  Just consider it fertilizer to enrich you as you bloom bigger and brighter than ever!  Love, Susan Bernardo

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same. -Marianne Williamson
