Grow Your Mind: News and Info Your Inner Flower Child Will Love
Your Inner Flower Child doesn't need this pep talk, but maybe you do. It's not just "okay" to let your imagination run free...it could just save your life. That impulse you have to create, to dream, to play - that's your survival mechanism kicking in.
Humans are creative. ALL HUMANS ARE CREATIVE. Some just get or give themselves more permission to explore it than others...and then exercise that imagination muscle more! This page will provide news and information about creativity, and how important it is to work play into your daily life -- in other words, we are giving you metaphoric mudpies to sling at your anxious "grown-up" voice when she interrupts your designated playtime with the "I really SHOULD BE... vacuuming, paying bills, shopping for stuff I don't need, etc). And if rational arguments don't work against that inner critic, have your inner flower child cover her ears and start chanting loudly "nah, nah, nah - I can't hear you...." Or call us - we'd be happy to come over and make some real mudpies with you.

Every tree, every flower, begins as a seed germinating in the dark....water it, and the seed will find its way toward the sunlight!
SHINE!!! The world needs your light....
_“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is
translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you
in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will
never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world
will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is
nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your
business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel
open. You do not even have to beleve in yourself or your work. You have
to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep
the channel open. ... No artist is pleased. [There is] no satisfaction
whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a
blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the
others”
